As OP says we are all the same so there is no issue about sharing spoons for tasting or serving all dishes except soup with the hands. That would take som getting used to for some Americans. At the reception the server scoops the food with their hands. The food was good and festive. Everyone is so casual everywhere. it seems like no one has expectation on anyone.
